In ClickPerfect there are many options you can use to customize your tracking link for specific needs. This article contains a general overview of each one.
Cloak URL
Cloaking a URL allows you to replace the destination URL and page description with your tracking URL and your page description of choice, this is especially useful when tracking affiliate links.
In the example below the destination URL is Bing.com. Through cloaking the URL of the web page it now shows as the tracking link URL and the page title in the tab now display "Google" rather than "Bing."
Pop Ups
Pop Ups are a feature included in ClickPerfect that allow you to create a pop up over the top of a web page.
After creating a Pop Up you will be able to attach it to your tracking link.
While editing your tracking link, click "Pop Ups", you will then see the box below, and be able to choose the title of the Pop Up to attach.
Please note: You need to cloak your link for the Pop Up to show correctly.
Pop Bars
Pop Bars are a feature included in ClickPerfect that allow you to create a banner that will pop up over the top of a web page .
Pop Bars can display images, text, subscription forms and more with a sense of urgency!
A banner is one of the most widely used and highly effective advertisement mechanisms available!
You will need to create a Pop Bar before being able to add it to the Tracking Link through the "Pop Bars" button.
Once you've created a Pop Bar, select the "Pop Bar" button while editing your link. The box below will appear and you will be able to select the title of the Pop Bar you would like to add to your tracking link.
Max Clicks
Setting a tracking link to have a max click amount will make it so that the tracking link will take clicks to the destination URL up to a max after the max is reached clicks will be redirected to a chosen backup URL.
Traffic Cost
Using the "Traffic Cost" option will let you enter your cost per click. Entering this data will allow you to track costs and rates inside of the dashboard for each tracking link, to help track your click costs.
Geotargeting
The Geotargeting feature allows you to track and include or exclude certain clicks depending on what country they are coming from. When you exclude certain countries, instead of being taken to the tracking links destination, they will be taken to your Backup URL.
Timer
Inside of ClickPerfect, you have the ability to create Timers to create a sense of urgency.
Once you have created a Timer, you will be able to link it to your tracking link by using the "Timer" setting. In order for the timer to show correctly, you will need to cloak your tracking link.
Backup URL
If a user is unable to click through your link for any reason they will be taken to your Backup URL. A BackUp is required for certain features.
Mobile URL
If you have a mobile version of the destination URL and would like mobile users to be directed to the mobile version of the website, you can enable this when creating a tracking link or rotator.
Repeat URL
The Repeat URL setting allows you to send a user to a different link if they have already clicked through the tracking link once.
Pixel/Code
This is an advanced feature that will allow pixel/code such as retargeting, google headlines, etc. There is also the option to create a dynamic affiliate link, applying extra variables to your clicks in order to help track affiliate clicks.
Bad Clicks
Using the Bad Clicks feature allows you to filter/block abusers, bots, anons, spiders, servers, and users. This feature is for advanced users who are very familiar with click tracking.
Detect New Bots
This a very sophisticated automated feature, once turned on our system will detect and block any new bots automatically for you.
Notes
The note feature allows you to store any comments/notes you have on a tracking URL!
Please note: This will never display to the end user and will be kept completely private for your use.
